Bent Knee has a new music video out from our 2016 release "Say So". The wonderful video was directed by our friend Greg Bowen of Human Being Productions. The video went through a really long production process but we're really happy to be able to share it with the world (finally!). Enjoy!
The Italian music blog altprogcore did a write up on Moon Stalker! The man behind the blog, Lorenzo Barbagli is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people we've met through Bent Knee. He pulled some major strings to help our Italian shows happen last summer. Very grateful for his continued support <3
Vanyaland published a feature on the Moon Stalker video!
"Over the past few years Courtney Swain has cemented her place in Boston music as frontwoman of the genre-defying Bent Knee. But the Providence-based, Japan-raised multi-intrumentalist and performer has quietly built up an equally impressive solo output."
"Bent Knee is no ordinary musical collective. A masterful mashup of electronica, progressive pop and art rock (think Jeff Buckley meets Rush meets Edith Piaf), the band has received widespread acclaim for both their live shows and their new release, Say So, out now on the Cuneiform label (cuneiformrecords.com)."
"Courtney Swain, Bent Knee’s dramatically potent lead vocalist and pianist, delivers emphatic, enigmatic lyrics in a manner that can evoke Björk, Alanis Morissette, or Joanna Newsom while sounding like no one but herself."
The weekend was actually chilly, and it's starting to feel like full-on fall in Providence. Last week we had some wonderful shows with Bent Knee. It was a particularly special experience to play at OBERON in Cambridge for the first time.
My friend Eric just released a music video for a song we collaborated on called "Puncture." It's also the first track off his record, Elder Flux. It's beautiful! Check it out, and check out his website too.
