What a beautiful town!

We walked from our friend David's house to the downtown area, and around the harbour. Really intriguing pieces of art by many local artists. There's a beautiful park with artificial tide pools, and a small enclosed beach for swimming. Jessica gave me a bite of her famous 'Nanaimo Bar' which is essentially a layer of brownie topped off with a layer of fudge. Delicious, but tyrannically sweet.

Our stay in Nanaimo has been absolutely wonderous. I'm so grateful to be acquainted with David & Susan, who are both delightful, kind, and passionate people. Very inspiring to see them so happy in their 'forever home', despite the many roadblocks they've overcome in their lives.
